I just don’t get some people. If you have all the time in the world to talk about other people, and for them to be a topic of discussion with you and your friends, whenever you all get together…you obviously aren’t living your own life.

Usually the people who degrade others are self conscious about themselves. They want to feel empowerment over you & see you get in your feelings. Don’t let them.
It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often then not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul.
Don’t ever use someone’s past against them. You’re just reminding them of the mistakes they made back then. If you watch their facial expression carefully, then you’ll see the hurt in their eyes as they reminisce everything that happened. Never use emotion as a weapon, it strikes deeper than you can imagine.
If you did not see it with your own eyes or hear it with your own ears, don’t invent it with your small mind & share it with your big mouth.
I learned that sometimes people aren’t going to trust you and it may be for no reason at all. sometimes people will just judge you on what they think you’ll do, on who they think you are, and there’s really nothing you can do about it. but just remember one thing, they’re not cheating you, they’re cheating themselves.
